Hello, I'm Marjon Reiziger (traveler), a seasoned traveler both in my career and personal life. With experiences spanning over 30 countries in Africa, I've dedicated myself to various sectors, including agriculture, energy, and water. 

Background

As a bridge-builder and people manager, I thrive in connecting individuals, fostering networks, and providing guidance as a coach. Known for my creative flair, I bring inspiration and dynamism to every endeavor. My focus on learning, sustainable development, and practical, results-oriented approaches drives my professional ethos. I have a talent for initiating and leading new programs, always aiming to deliver the best possible outcomes.

Water Experiences

My journey in the water sector has been diverse and enriching. I served as the HR director for a Drinking Water Company in Ghana under Vitens Evides International, gaining valuable insights into global water management challenges. Additionally, I played a pivotal role in establishing HR policies for international activities at Vitens Evides International and Waterbedrijf Groningen, as well as developing HR handbooks for Dutch waterboards. My tenure as a program manager at YEP Programmes with the Netherlands Water Partnership broadened my perspective on water projects, industry dynamics, and talent development, setting the stage for meaningful collaborations with initiatives like WaterWorX and Blue Deal.

Board Functions

Since 2000, I've been actively involved in various board functions, relishing the opportunity to advise organisations on their operations, performance, and networking strategies. Being part of these boards allows me to contribute to organisational growth while continuously expanding my horizons.

Personal Touch

When not immersed in work or board activities, I find solace in the serene waters of Friesland, indulging in my favorite pastime: sailing a boat. Change management holds a special place in my heart, epitomised by my favorite mantra: "If you want to make a change, take a look in the mirror and make the change." Beyond professional pursuits, I channel my creativity into crafting paper collages, occasionally showcasing them in exhibitions. 

In essence, my journey is defined by a relentless pursuit of growth, both personal and professional, and a deep-seated passion for effecting positive change in the world around me.
