Poop is cool!
25 April 2018In regards to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, Sanitation is the furthest behind. Some argue that this might be caused by the unpopular image of poop. Undeservedly so, if you ask us!
Check out this video made by the World Bank, in which Sasha Kramer, founder of SOIL () and winner of the Sarphati Sanitation Awards 2017, explains how dynamic the world of ecological sanitation is.
The video shows how SOIL, Sanivation and Sanegry offer container-based approaches that bring sanitation services to communities without sewers. Environmental sustainability is enhanced, sanitation waste is turned into valuable end products, human health conditions are improved and local communities can make a livelihood of it. In conclusion, non-sewer sanitation services are way more cost-effective!
