Vivian van Nassou

Project Assistant / Communication Officer

Vivian van Nassou is Project Assistant and Communication Officer at World Waternet. Her goal is to contribute to a world that provides clean and enough water for all, now and in the future.

During her bachelor study ‘International Business and Languages’, she studied one year in Argentina. She threw herself into the deep, and for the first time she had to make her way in another culture. This aroused her interest in an international work environment. Due to her interest in sustainability, she completed a master degree of 'Environment and Resource Management' at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. Because of her dissertation on the effectiveness of policy makers within climate resilient water management, she became intrigued by the dynamic water sector.

After finishing her studies, she signed up for the National Water Traineeship, during which she worked on personal development and projects at various water authorities. Simultaneously she worked as Junior Advisor and Researcher for the Climate Neutral Programme and the pipe system department at Waternet.

But blood is thicker than water, and eventually she was drawn again by her international aspirations. And so, she ended up at World Waternet. She takes enormous pride in the justified worldwide leading position of the Netherlands in terms of water management. With her domestic and foreign work experience, she gained good insight into cultural diversity. Combined with healthy dose of creativity and writing skills, Vivian is mainly concerned with writing project reports and news articles. This way, Vivian contributes to putting World Waternet on the map.
